A Family Legacy
Passed down from father to son over three generations, PAPA's Rice is a legacy fulfilled. We honor our Haitian roots and other traditional Afro-Caribbean recipes by crafting soul nourishing microwave ready meals with the highest-quality ingredients.
This culinary heritage inspired the creation of PAPA’s Rice and its line extensions. We wanted to share the rich flavors and heartfelt traditions of our upbringing with others. Each product we create is a tribute to a cultural legacy, captured through cooking and the love poured into every dish. Through PAPA’s Rice, we aim to bring the same warmth and joy to your table, continuing the tradition of expressing love through food.

Co-founders- Brothers Alex and Chris both hold a passion for Afro-Caribbean cuisine and a background in business. The brothers co-founded PAPA’s Rice to revolutionize the ready-to-eat market. Their vision is to bring convenience and authentic flavors together, one rice meal at a time.

Alex is a skilled chef trained at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York, brings a decade of experience as an Executive Chef, showcasing profound expertise across diverse world cuisines and a proven record of successfully launching menu items at other startups.
With a background as a financial services director and a business consultant, Chris provides operational knowledge and strategic guidance. His business prowess complements Alex’s culinary artistry, ensuring a balanced approach.

How do I place my order?
Please visit our shop page, select your preferred products, and click the Add to Cart button. At checkout, the shipping option will be calculated based on your delivery address.
Can I customize my bundle?
Yes, you can customize your bundle or choose one of our preset bundles.
Can I add a gift note to my order?
Absolutely! Once you add the products to your cart, click on the cart icon and select "add gift note" to include a personalized message.

Currently, our products are exclusively available on our website.

How do I know the serving size for each product?
On each product page, there is a description section; that details serving size and "serving size".
Can I still cancel my order once it has been confirmed?
For cancellation or change of order destination and other details, you can contact via email at info@papasrice.com within 24 hours of placing your order.
How do I prepare my rice order?
- Remove the pouch from box .
- Place in microwave and heat for 2 minutes 15 seconds.
- Carefully remove the pouch, let it cool for 30 seconds, and pour the contents onto a plate.
Shipping
Do you ship anywhere in the US?
Yes! Except for Hawaii, Alaska, P.O.Boxes and Military APO Boxes. All orders placed from Sunday to Saturday midnight (11:59 PM PST) weekly will ship out the next week's Tuesday only except there’s a holiday, it will ship on Wednesday.
How much is the shipping fee?
We ship products Next Day Air and two day air via UPS.Yes, you can customize your bundle or select one of our preset bundles.
How long will it take to get my order?
Your order will take a maximum of 2 days to arrive from the day it is shipped. You will receive a notification on the email address or phone number that you provided at checkout once your order has been shipped.
The shipping options factor the shipping speed ONLY i.e the time it takes for the order to arrive at your doorstep from the shipping monday and doesn’t include PROCESSING TIME.
Where can I find PAPA’s Rice in stores?
Our products are currently not in stores. Products are available only through our website at the moment.
How do I include delivery instructions to my order?
Instructions can be communicated to the courier by creating a UPS My Choice Account. This account gives you control to modify the following:
- Reroute packages to a convenient UPS Access Point for pick-up.
- Change delivery/destination address.
- Personalize shipments.
- Include delivery instructions such as buzz codes, etc.
- Track and manage multiple packages.
- Receive real-time email/sms alerts.
- Please note some of these changes incur charges through UPS.
Why is there dry ice in my package?
The dry ice is packaged at the bottom of the box, underneath the product in order to keep our products frozen. Protect your hands with gloves or a towel before removing it from the box. Skin exposure to dry ice can cause burns. Move to a well - ventilated area (away from pets and children) and allow it to evaporate.
Additional Notes:
- Do not put dry ice in water or a trash can.
- Do not place the dry ice remnants in your freezer. This will damage your freezer.
- Dry ice should be disposed & not reused - Please refer to disposal instructions.
